Company Description

We are looking for a highly-motivated and organized Programmer to join our Research team. As the world's premier vendor of forward-looking, date-related data, we have as clients the most prestigious financial firms. We are a globally-minded company with offices in New York, London, Delhi, and Manila.

Our software includes a core function library written in C++, available both as an Excel Automation Add-in and as a COM object library accessible from VBA. We also maintain several standalone C++ applications that operate independently of Excel.

Programming Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help upgrade and expand our internal software, essential to providing our customers with the most accurate and reliable data possible.
  • Develop and write code to enhance existing software using any suitable programming language (e.g., Python, C++, SQL, or VBA).
  • Test, debug, and fix issues to ensure reliability and consistency.
  • Collaborate with team members to design creative and efficient solutions.
  • Work with users to understand their needs and develop tools that meet those requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, C++, SQL, or VBA).
  • Knowledge of VBA is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with other programming languages or related technologies is an advantage (e.g., COM interfaces, JavaScript/TypeScript, R, shell scripting, HTML/CSS, or cloud platforms such as Azure).
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects within your chosen development environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve code issues.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to debug and write efficient, maintainable code.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Eagerness to stay up to date with new technologies and continuously improve.
  • Strong time management and ability to work independently.
  • Innovative mindset and proactive approach to challenges.

Place of Work

In the office at Ayala Triangle Gardens Tower 2 at least three days per week.

Hours of Work

Your normal hours of work will be aligned with the New York time zone.
