Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred.

  • Prior experience in collections, customer service, or a related financial role preferred.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

  • Familiarity with accounting software or collections systems.

  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of debt collection laws and practices is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review customer accounts to identify outstanding debts.

  • Contact customers via phone, email, or letters to remind them of overdue payments.

  • Negotiate repayment plans or settlements within company guidelines.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of collection activities.

  • Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes.

  • Escalate delinquent accounts to the appropriate level when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and internal policies.

  • Provide regular reports on collection status to management.

  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Sales, Customer Service) to resolve customer issues.

  • Recommend accounts for legal action or write-off when necessary.
