QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
· Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or Guidance and Counseling
· Must be a graduate or currently enrolled in a Master's program (MA/MS) in Guidance and Counseling
· Registered Guidance Counselor is also acceptable
Experience:
· At least three years of experience as a Guidance Counselor in a school setting
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conducts assigned programs, activities, services and plans of the GCO;
· Organize and maintain the student individual files;
· Conceptualize and prepare proposals for the GCO Program of Activities;
· Participate in the preparation and implementation of the activities and programs;
· Schedules and conducts special programs and activities of GCO;
· Regularly submit reports on Monthly Accomplishments and Post Activity Report/s;
· Conduct initial interview to new students and exit interviews to graduating and transferring students;
· Invites students and individually conducts "kamustahan session" / routine interviews.
· Schedule and conducts individual and group counseling to enrolled students;
· Schedule and conducts individual and group consultation to students, parents and associates;
· Updates the consolidated database of GCO individual student transaction notes;
· Provides feedback on students referred by co-students, associates and parents;
· Coordinates with Psychometrician regarding the testing program of the Office;
· Refer students to Psychometrician for testing and interpret the results to students;
· Individually discusses the psychological test results of referred student;
· Coordinates with the Health Services Unit (HSU) for the update of diagnostic/psychological assessment of student;
· Participates in the department meeting and annual planning;
· Prepares GCO minutes of the meeting per schedule;
· Updates the document folders in the GCO Tech Google shared drive;
· Refers students to other mental health professionals for further psychological assessment;
· Other tasks assigned by the GCO director.
