Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for supervising and ensuring the accurate execution of the accounting and operational financial processes for Lean Solutions Group in the Philippines. This role oversees financial reporting, tax compliance, and audits while also supporting operational efficiency across HR, Procurement, and Operations. The Accounting Manager plays a key role in providing financial insights, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Functions

• Oversee the accounting and financial records of the Philippine entity, ensuring compliance with local and corporate requirements.
• Manage operational processes that impact financial performance, collaborating closely with HR, Operations, and Procurement.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports to support leadership decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BIR regulations, and internal controls.
• Lead and support annual audits (internal and external), ensuring accurate and timely availability of information.

Activities / Tasks

• Supervise daily accounting operations, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in line with procedures.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and bank accounts to maintain accurate financial balances.
• Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly financial reports to headquarters, within prescribed deadlines.
• Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements compliant with PFRS.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of BIR tax declarations (VAT, income tax, withholding taxes, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational processes with financial controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting and operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to strengthen capabilities within the team.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee accuracy, consistency, and compliance of accounting and financial records.
• Deliver timely financial reports and insights to support business performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all local accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
• Maintain effective working relationships with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide management with strategic financial analysis and recommendations for operational and business decisions.
• Lead the supervision of accounting operations while supporting operational process improvements across departments.

Basic Education and Experience Required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines (required).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of
  6–8 years
  of progressive accounting experience, including at least
  2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  .
• Experience working in
  multinational companies, BPOs, or shared service centers
  is a strong advantage.

Technical Knowledge Required

• Proficiency in accounting software (Dynamics, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
• Advanced knowledge of
  PFRS, BIR regulations, and Philippine tax compliance
  .
• Strong financial analysis, reporting, and Microsoft Excel skills.
