Tax Compliance Officer

Responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, maintaining accurate tax records, liaising with tax authorities, and advising the business on tax-related matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns (corporate, VAT/GST, withholding tax, etc.).
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews of tax-related records and processes.
  • Liaise with tax authorities during audits or inquiries, and manage correspondence.
  • Work with external advisors and auditors where necessary.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on tax planning and compliance matters.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls over tax processes and documentation.
  • Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions as needed.
  • Assist in tax provisioning and reporting during financial closings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Certified Tax Advisor, CPA, ACCA, is not a requirement but an advantage.
  • Atleast 4 years of experience in tax compliance, ideally within a corporate or advisory setting.
  • Experience dealing with tax authorities and audits.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
  • Amenable to work in BGC Taguig
  • Can start ASAP
