Job Summary:

As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting company products, and materials to various destinations. Your primary duty is to ensure the timely and secure delivery of goods while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Additionally, you will be entrusted with the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.

Responsibilities:

Safe Transportation:

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including cars, vans, or trucks, to transport employees, goods, and materials to designated locations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety standards.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of passengers during transit.

Route Planning:

  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic, road conditions, and delivery schedules.

Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain cleanliness both inside and outside of the vehicle.

Documentation:

  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs, timesheets, and incident reports.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients, customers, and fellow employees.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods when required.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation.

Emergency Response:

  • Demonstrate the ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently, including knowledge of basic first aid.

Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Restrictions 1, 2, 3
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning.
  • Ability to operate and maintain vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to load and unload goods when necessary.
  • Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
