Job Description
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Corporate Tax information reporting responsibilities which include but are not limited to the following:
- Value-Added Tax for international entities (UK, Germany, Denmark, Australia)

- Tax Forecast/Calculation/Provisioning

- State Apportionment Calculation including E-payment Processing

- Country by Country Report (CbCR Form)

- Federal Tax

- Property Tax

- PSA and P11D
  • Initiation and coordination with business contacts and third parties for the settlement of tax obligations/invoices
  • Assist with the review of tax estimates and provisioning work papers for the client's hedge funds and mutual funds
  • Complete documentation of tax estimates and provisioning review, including additional supporting work papers and reconciliation schedules, following the oversight procedures and timely communication of any exception noted
  • Assist with tax compliance works which include but are not limited to the following:
- Principal Tax Summaries and Schedule K-1

- Mutual Fund Distribution Memo

- Passive Foreign Investment Company Statements

- Form 1065: US Return of Partnership Income

- Form 1120-RIC: US Income Tax Return for Regulated Investment Companies

- Form 5471: Information Return of U.S. Persons with Respect to Certain Foreign Corporations

- Form 8613: Return of Excise Tax on Undistributed Income of Regulated Investment Companies
  • Compliance with the preparation and maintenance of updated process documentations
  • Any related process as required by the client
Requirements

Qualifications:
  • The candidate should have theoretical understanding of financial instruments.
  • Excellent command of the English language - oral and written
  • Strong analytical, technical, and research skills
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player
  • Must be highly organized, with excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize activities effectively
  • Can work with minimal supervision and deliver high quality output
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; particularly MS Excel
Education and Experience:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy.
  • Fresh graduates and Tax professionals with at least 1-2 years of related experience are welcome to apply.
  • Certified Public Accountant is an advantage.
  • Relevant work experience in the asset management industry is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of U.S. taxation for management company, hedge funds and mutual funds is an advantage.
