Job Description:

Assigned at the Matcha Bar (Marfori branch), the Matcha Barista is responsible for crafting and serving matcha-based beverages with precision, consistency, and care. Curious and passionate about matcha—its history, culture, and craft—the barista ensures every drink reflects authenticity and quality. Warm and approachable, they create a welcoming space where guests feel at home, while maintaining cleanliness, efficiency, and attention to detail in daily café operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve matcha-based beverages and other café drinks according to company standards.
• Ensure proper techniques in whisking, brewing, and mixing for consistency and quality.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
• Handle cashiering duties, including processing orders, payments, and issuing receipts accurately.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of matcha, ingredients, and café supplies; assist in restocking as needed.
• Keep the bar area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Follow standard operating procedures and uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support team members and contribute to smooth daily café operations.

• Essential Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise recipes

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Basic maths skills for handling cash and calculating orders
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Qualifications:

• Secondary school completion or equivalent

• Food safety certification preferred but training will be provided
• Barista certification is an advantage but not required

• Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)

• Capable of lifting up to 15kg for inventory and supply management
• Good hand-eye coordination for precise beverage preparation
