Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant, Senior QA Automation Engineer

In this role, you will be a key member of our test team, responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases. You will collaborate with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure thorough test coverage and perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and data validation testing.

Responsibilities

·       Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases, with emphasis on functional and data testing

·       Collaborate with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

·       Lead & perform functional, regression, integration, performance & Data validation testing initiatives.

·       Perform complex SQL queries and database testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

ü  Note: While strong SQL skills are preferred, candidates with deep automation expertise may still be considered

·       Analyse business requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios.

·       Identify, document, and track software defects and work with the development team to resolve issues.

·       Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts as part of broader automation initiatives, with a focus on hands-on implementation.

·       Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on testing best practices.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

·       Strong business understanding: An in-depth understanding of the application under test and what it does for the business.

·       Strong testing fundamentals: Expertise in test planning, case design, exploratory testing, and defect management.

·       Test case design proficiency: Ability to design comprehensive, effective, and reusable test cases that align with business objectives.

·       Experience in software testing and automation: Skilled in developing manual and automated testing strategies.

·       Proficiency in Java and Selenium or Playwright: Hands-on experience with leading automation tools.

·       SQL and REST API expertise: Strong skills in writing queries and testing API endpoints.

·       Business understanding: Ability to grasp business processes and translate them into effective test scenarios.

·       Enterprise ERP platform experience: Familiarity with testing ERP systems.

·       ETL and CI/CD knowledge: Experience with data validation in ETL pipelines and CI/CD workflows.
