Job Overview:

Jr. Tax Specialist provides administrative and technical support by assisting in the preparation of tax returns, maintaining tax records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and helping with tax-related research. This role involves working closely with Tax Manager to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tax-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tax Return Preparation:

  2. Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.

  3. Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax documents in accordance with current tax laws and regulations;
  4. Collect and organize necessary financial documents and other tax-related information from stakeholders or internal departments.
  5. Monitor and ensure compliance with national and local tax requirements.

  6. Tax Research and Compliance:

  7. Assist in conducting tax research to ensure compliance with national, and local tax laws and regulations.

  8. Stay up to date on changes in tax laws and inform the tax team of relevant updates or amendments.

  9. Audit Support:

  10. Assist in preparing documents and data for tax audits, including gathering necessary paperwork and responding to audit queries.

  11. Communicate with internal teams to collect requested information for audits.
  12. Assist in reconciling tax accounts and reviewing financial data for accuracy.

  13. Collaboration and Communication:

  14. Answer basic tax-related questions from various team, escalating more complex queries to the Tax Manager.

  15. Assists various team to organize their tax documentation and ensure timely submission of required information.
  16. Collaborate with other departments (finance, legal, etc.) to ensure alignment on tax issues and opportunities.
  17. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to explain complex tax matters clearly.

  18. Documentation and Record Keeping:

  19. Maintain organized tax files and records, including tax returns, supporting documents, and correspondence with tax authorities.

  20. Ensure all tax-related documents are properly stored, backed up, and easily accessible for review.

  21. Other Administrative Support:

  22. Provide general administrative support to the tax department, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and handling communication with clients or regulatory bodies.

  23. Assist with the creation and organization of tax-related reports and presentations.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • With 2-3 years experience in Tax compliance
  • Experience with tax return preparation and schedules.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
