A Marketing Manager in an outsourced services company plays a pivotal role in driving growth, building brand awareness, and acquiring clients. The role requires strategic planning and execution across various channels, tailored to B2B services. Below are the core duties and responsibilities:

1. Strategic Marketing Planning

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Define target markets and buyer personas for outsourced services.

2. Branding and Positioning

  • Build and maintain a strong brand identity for the company.
  • Create positioning strategies that highlight the company's value proposition in outsourcing.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all marketing materials and platforms.

3. Lead Generation and Demand Creation

  • Design and execute lead generation campaigns using email, social media, SEO, and paid advertising.
  • Manage and optimize the sales funnel to convert leads into clients.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to align on goals and lead quality.

4. Digital Marketing Oversight

  • Manage the company's online presence, including website content, SEO, and social media.
  • Oversee the creation of digital content such as blogs, whitepapers, case studies, and videos.
  • Use analytics tools to measure and improve digital marketing performance.

5. Content and Communication Management

  • Develop compelling messaging tailored to industries served (e.g., IT, customer service, HR).
  • Supervise the production of marketing collateral like brochures, presentations, and proposals.
  • Write or review content for accuracy, tone, and brand alignment.

6. Campaign and Event Management

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns, both online and offline.
  • Organize or participate in industry events, trade shows, and webinars to generate exposure.
  • Track campaign performance metrics and ROI.

7. Client Relationship and Retention Support

  • Support account management teams with upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Gather client feedback and insights to improve service offerings and communication.
  • Develop loyalty and referral programs when applicable.

8. Budget Management and Reporting

  • Prepare and manage the marketing budget efficiently.
  • Track KPIs and prepare regular reports on marketing effectiveness.
  • Recommend improvements based on data-driven insights.

9. Team and Vendor Coordination

  • Lead and mentor the marketing team or coordinate with outsourced marketing vendors.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, copywriters, web developers, and media partners.
  • Ensure timely delivery and quality of marketing projects.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA or Marketing) is often preferred, especially for senior roles.

Professional Experience

  • 5–8 years of marketing experience, ideally in B2B or service-based industries.
  • Proven experience in outsourcing, consulting, or technology services marketing is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation, campaign management, and digital marketing.

Core Skills and Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to craft and execute multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Digital Marketing Proficiency: SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, Google Analytics, and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Content Creation and Branding: Strong command of messaging, branding, and content marketing best practices.
  • Project Management: Capable of managing timelines, vendors, budgets, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret marketing data, KPIs, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Google Ads / Google Analytics Certification
  • HubSpot Inbound Marketing Certification
  • Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP)
