Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented 
Junior Information Security Analyst
 to join our team and support our organization's digital transformation goals. This role is essential in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and ensuring the security framework is protected from cyber threats and potential attacks. The ideal candidate will assist senior security professionals in monitoring, assessing, and mitigating potential security threats while contributing to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Monitoring:

  • Perform log analysis by monitoring security logs from firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), antivirus software, and other tools to identify suspicious activity.
  • Conduct research and analyze threat intelligence reports to stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Incident Response:

  • Assist in incident response activities, including participating in drills, documenting procedures, and investigating and containing security breaches.

Vulnerability Assessment:

  • Conduct basic vulnerability scans using specialized tools to identify and report potential weaknesses.
  • Assist and observe senior professionals in penetration testing activities.

Security Awareness:

  • Promote organizational security awareness by assisting in the development and delivery of training materials for employees.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document findings from security assessments, incident responses, and other security-related activities.
  • Prepare detailed and comprehensive reports on security incidents and system assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and tools, with a background in network administration preferred.
  • Familiarity with security controls such as firewalls, IDS, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of information security.
