Job Summary:

The Junior Project Engineer assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects involving CCTV, Fire Detection & Alarm Systems (FDAS), Access Control, Public Address (PA) Systems, and Traffic Control Systems.

The role requires a combination of technical understanding and project management ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with the ability to work well in both office and field environments.

Key Responsibilities:Project Coordination and Management

  • Support the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing engineering projects.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and manpower.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor installation progress, safety compliance, and quality standards.
  • Assist in preparing project documentation such as daily reports, progress updates, transmittals, and test reports.
  • Participate in client meetings, providing technical and administrative support.

Technical and Engineering Support

  • Review and interpret project plans, drawings, and system diagrams for CCTV, FDAS, Access Control, PA, and Traffic Control Systems.
  • Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment including controllers, sensors, cabinets, and network devices.
  • Conduct site surveys and cable layout supervision for power, signal, and communication lines.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and system diagnostics under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Ensure all work complies with design specifications, safety standards, and manufacturer requirements.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain well-organized project records and ensure accurate documentation of all activities.
  • Prepare material requests, delivery checklists, and equipment handover reports.
  • Update as-built drawings and system diagrams after project completion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), or related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply — training and mentorship will be provided.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple project tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge or background in low-voltage systems, networking, or traffic control infrastructure is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and travel to various project sites when required.
