Senior Production Manager Accountant

We are seeking an 6-8+ years experienced accountant, motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Production Manager Accountant.

We are seeking a Production Manager with extensive experience in Australian Tax Practice. This role will be responsible for managing the compliance work for a portfolio of business clients and ensuring work is completed effectively and efficiently. This is a supervisory role responsible for a number of accounting staff and reporting directly to the Client Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing Work: Oversee and review accounting tasks performed by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Processing Work: Handle accounting processes efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Support the Client Manager in getting the work completed.
• Assist the less experienced and less qualified team members in completing their tasks and jobs.
• Helping, supporting and training with all technical knowledge.

Requirements:

• Highly level of technical skills Experience in Australian Tax & Accounting.
• High level of common sense and an enquiring mind (the detective).
• Ability to identify discrepancies in the figures.
• Very Methodical - process/systems driven.
• Ability to effectively train Accounting/Bookkeeping staff.
• High Technical proficiency in accounting software and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working.
• Need to able to contribute to company goals.
• Happy to work in a team and be part of a team
• Experience preparing tax returns, financial statements, fringe benefits income tax returns, tax planning figures & analysis, and various tax reports.
• SMSF preparation skills
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, BGL360, and Xero Practice Manager would be beneficial

Additional Details:

Successful candidates will need to pass a production and technical benchmark assessment to ensure they meet our standards for excellence. During the second interview, applicants will be asked to participate in a mock client test, allowing us to evaluate their ability to handle real-world client interactions effectively.
