Roles And Responsibilities

  • Regularly update the senior management and other stakeholders on matters affecting privacy and data protection compliance.
  • Lead the implementation of the business group's Privacy Management Program.
  • Lead the implementation of a privacy awareness campaign and communications plan within the business group.
  • Lead the preparation of updates on the progress of data privacy compliance initiatives.
  • With the assistance of the Privacy Governance Group, ensure submission of necessary reports and documentation to the appropriate agencies.
  • Coordinate with and assist the Privacy Governance Group in ensuring the development/updating of privacy and data protection compliance documents of the business, such as privacy and data protection policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with and assist the Privacy Standards and Compliance Group in the operationalization of privacy and data protection policies and standards.
  • Coordinate with and assist the Privacy Standards and Compliance Group in ensuring the conduct of privacy threshold analyses and privacy impact assessments.
  • Coordinate with and assist the Privacy Law Group the incorporation of the applicable privacy and data protection agreements into the business group's engagements with partners and other third parties.
  • Coordinate with and assist the Privacy Law Group in ensuring that security incidents and personal data breaches are triaged, assessed, managed, and evaluated by the relevant business.
  • In tandem with the Privacy Law and Privacy Governance Groups, establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as regulators, industry groups, and privacy advocates
  • Develop and implement a robust monitoring and reporting system to ensure compliance with privacy and data protection policies across the business group.
  • Establish and maintain a feedback mechanism for employees and other stakeholders to report privacy concerns and suggest improvements.
  • Coordinate with and assist the Privacy Law Group in ensuring that data subjects' rights (e.g., right to access, rectification, erasure, etc.) are respected and facilitated.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with data processing agreements with third parties and data processors by the business units.
  • Coordinate with and assist the Privacy Standards and Compliance Group in ensuring the establishment of procedures for regularly testing, assessing, and evaluating the effectiveness of technical and organizational measures for ensuring the security of the processing.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the organization's Data Protection Officer (DPO) and/or privacy leads in other business units or geographical locations.
  • Perform other duties that naturally fall under the group's role, or as may be assigned by the DPO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
