Job Description: Field Sales Agent

Overview

Bayan Industrial Corporation is seeking a Field Sales Agent to drive and defend sales of our steel products, including BI and GI tubulars, purlins, and other steel solutions. Unlike one-time prospecting roles, this position requires constant selling, relationship management, and quick response to price- and supply-sensitive customers. The Field Sales Agent will play a crucial role in keeping existing clients engaged while also expanding opportunities with new accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell actively, not passively: Continuously engage with hardware stores, contractors, and construction sites to secure repeat orders and prevent competitor entry.
  • Defend accounts: Ensure that current clients consistently choose Bayan Industrial over competitors by providing competitive pricing, timely follow-ups, and reliable service.
  • Close deals quickly: Respond promptly to inquiries, quotations, and client needs to avoid losing opportunities in this highly competitive market.
  • Build customer loyalty: Develop strong, consistent relationships with buyers, project managers, and store owners to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor competitor pricing: Stay updated on market trends and competitor movements to adjust selling strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinate with internal teams: Work closely with production, logistics, and finance to guarantee on-time deliveries and accurate order processing.
  • On-site presence: Regularly visit customer sites and outlets to reinforce trust, spot opportunities, and strengthen visibility.
  • Report and forecast: Provide management with accurate sales reports, feedback on customer buying behavior, and realistic forecasts.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of direct sales experience, preferably in construction materials, hardware distribution, or steel-related industries.
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to defend and grow customer accounts in a competitive, price-driven market.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and persistence.
  • Must be proactive, fast-moving, and adaptable in closing deals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred but not required if proven sales ability.
  • Valid driver's license (motorcycle / car) and willingness to travel to customer sites regularly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php23,000.00 per month
