Structural Engineer

The role of the Technical Services (TS) Engineer - Structural is to provide technical expertise and execute tasks on all three stages of a project: pre-sales, implementation and operations & management, focusing on civil and structural works. Tasks include coordination with business teams in closing projects, designing, engaging with contractors and construction management, and ensuring continuous operations and maximum output of projects. The TS Engineer shall execute tasks depending on the needs of the team and may be assigned to either of the three stages. They are also expected to coordinate with the Technical Services Leads and may be assigned other tasks from time to time.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Pre-sales

Project Costing (outsourced)

• TOR preparation
• Bid out or proposal solicitation
• Contractor coordination and clarifications
• Proposal evaluation
• Internal discussions

Project Costing (for submission to the arsenal)

• Internal cost determination (project implementation cost)
• Project lifetime costing (operation and maintenance costs, as the case maybe)
• Project documents turn-over to implementation group (for won projects)

Implementation

• Contractor scoping and engagement
• Scope, timeline, and cost determination and design review
• Contractor coordination
• Contractor engagement
• Project construction/implementation management
• Contractor coordination
• Materials inspection
• Design and quality of works inspection
• ESH compliance inspection
• Overall project management
• Project documents turn-over to Business or O&M team, as the case maybe

O&M

Operations monitoring

• Constant and regular operation monitoring
• Monthly output monitoring (in case of solar and other applicable arsenals)
• Regular reporting to the group and arsenals concerned

Maintenance management

• Planning and budgeting of necessary preventive maintenance
• Contractor coordination and engagement, as necessary
• Contractor management, as necessary
• Timely action on corrective maintenance needed
• ESH compliance
• Overall project management
• Other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications: Key Competencies/ Skills:

• Excellent technical skills, especially in civil and structural works
• Knowledgeable in MS Office, MS Project, Staad, and AutoCAD
• Good communication skills
• Good business acumen

Minimum Requirements:

• Licensed Civil or Structural Engineer
• At least 1-3 years working experience in the related field, preferably with energy industry experience
• Willing to do actual site inspection and works
