Junior Merchandiser

Assist the Merchandising Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Merchandising Department.

Able to perform daily duties of Merchandising Manager in his/her absence.

Maintain and review records related to sales.  Forecasting and estimating the potential stock requirements based on sales reports.  Making sure there are adequate supplies of merchandise to prevent sales losses.  Generate Sell-Through reports as needed by the Merchandisers;

Regularly evaluate item performance in season using inventory management system.  Close monitoring and evaluating of fast-moving and slow-moving items and make recommendations for store transfer, re-orders, taking action to reduce prices or set promotions, consolidations and return-to-vendors as necessary;

Monitor sales and do inventory analysis report using Sell-Through reports, class code levels, and overall inventory levels.  Must memorize all class codes;

Ensures that PO's are enough to satisfy inventory levels needed by the store, and reports this to Merchandising.  Keep a close watch on inventory levels and needs of clients, must know levels of inventory per store by heart;

Must be able to optimize inventory in all stores, and ensure fast sales across all class codes by managing inventory and its distribution, and recommending these to Merchandising for immediate action;

Partner with Merchandise Manager/s on inventory planning, inventory flow strategies, vendor requirements and capabilities and contingency planning;

Create and update store clusters using ranking template to effectively allocate items to the right stores.  Create and adjust size scales to ensure appropriate size allocation per store;

Gathering information on customers' reactions to merchandise.  Identifying supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise and coordinate it with Merchandising for immediate action.

Provide support to sales department, logistics and distribution, display (to decide how goods should be displayed to maximize customer interest and sales) and promotion activities;

Performs other related duties that may be assigned by immediate superior.

Qualifications:

• Male/Female
• Candidate must be a graduate of any 4 year business related courses
• At least 2 years working experience in  the related field is required for this position
• Has the ability to execute merchandising plans in coordination with sales and marketing strategies
• Capable of handling extreme pressure, willing to travel and commute from store to store
• Excellent in both oral and written communication skills
• Highly analytical with good negotiation skills
• Computer literate, proficient with MS Excel
• Experience in retail merchandising for Sports Brand or Footwear
• Proficiency in inventory management and merchandising systems
• Must be located in commutable distance to Meycauayan, Bulacan
