About the Role

At EDGE Tutor, our people are at the heart of what we do. We are looking for a Senior Engagement Specialist who will take the lead in designing, planning, and executing activities that bring our community together. This role requires creativity, organization, and the ability to align engagement initiatives with our culture while ensuring they have a meaningful impact on motivation, collaboration, and continuity.

You will be in charge of end-to-end engagement management—from planning and budgeting, to execution and post-event evaluation—covering both the Tutor Team and the Support Team.

What You'll Do

Strengthen Community through Engagement Activities

  • Deliver online and in-person events that build stronger bonds across teams and enhance the sense of belonging.
  • Create an annual and quarterly engagement calendar that balances fun, learning, and recognition.
  • Ensure events run smoothly and leave a positive, memorable impact.

Maximize Value through Budgeting & Finance Handling

  • Allocate and manage budgets to achieve the highest engagement impact per peso spent.
  • Ensure transparent and timely processing of reimbursements and liquidations.
  • Track event costs and recommend improvements for future budget efficiency.

Drive Collaboration through Organizing Committees

  • Form committees that give people ownership and involvement in company-wide events.
  • Empower committee members with clear roles and timelines to deliver on event goals.
  • Build cross-team collaboration and leadership skills through shared responsibility.

Ensure Quality and Reliability through Vendor & Partner Management

  • Secure the best-fit vendors that align with event goals and company standards.
  • Negotiate for cost-effective, high-quality services that maximize engagement value.
  • Maintain long-term vendor relationships that support consistent, reliable events.

Reinforce Company Culture in Every Activity

  • Align all initiatives with EDGE Tutor's values and mission to strengthen organizational identity.
  • Build inclusivity and accessibility into every engagement program.
  • Continuously adapt activities based on feedback to keep them relevant and impactful.

Improve Motivation and Continuity through Retention Strategies

  • Monitor the impact of events on motivation, connection, and long-term participation.
  • Use data from participation rates and feedback to refine strategies.
  • Provide insights to leadership on how engagement drives continuity outcomes.

Foster Appreciation through Recognition Programs

  • Implement recognition initiatives that celebrate contributions and milestones.
  • Run ongoing campaigns that highlight individual and team achievements.
  • Build a culture of appreciation that motivates people to stay and thrive.

Listen and Improve through Focus Group Discussions

  • Conduct regular focus groups to capture voices from different teams.
  • Translate feedback into actionable changes that improve the overall EDGE Tutor experience.
  • Share insights with leadership to guide people-focused strategies.

Advance Diversity and Inclusion Across the Organization

  • Design a company-wide diversity program that fosters respect, equity, and representation.
  • Launch initiatives—such as awareness drives, inclusive events, and training—that strengthen belonging for all.
  • Measure progress and ensure diversity efforts are integrated into everyday practices.

Measure Success and Long-Term Impact

  • Develop methods to track the effectiveness of events and programs (e.g., participation, satisfaction scores, repeat attendance).
  • Evaluate long-term impact on community connection, motivation, and retention.
  • Present findings and recommendations to continuously raise the quality of engagement initiatives.

Strengthen Talent Pipeline through Referrals and Recruitment

  • Take the lead in running and promoting EDGE Tutor's referral program, ensuring consistent awareness and participation.
  • Drive referral conversions by actively tracking referrals, rewarding successful hires, and increasing program visibility.
  • Increase applicant leads as required for the Support Team by promoting openings through internal and external channels.
  • Screen resumes to identify potential candidates aligned with role requirements.
  • Perform passive screening and conduct initial interviews as needed to support recruitment targets.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in engagement, community management, or events coordination, with a strong track record of planning and executing initiatives from concept to completion. Must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience managing engagement activities for large-scale groups (700–1,000 individuals).
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, particularly for events (timelines, committees, budgets, and vendor coordination).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Canva for designing event materials, recognition collaterals, and other visual assets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in hosting and facilitating both online and in-person events.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of engagement and recognition trends to ensure programs remain relevant and appealing.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Comfortable with budgeting, reimbursements, and financial reconciliations.
  • Passion for building community, motivating people, and improving the EDGE Tutor experience.
  • Skilled in working cross-functionally with different teams, committees, and vendors.

Work Set-up and Requirements

  • Schedule: Shifting schedule, including morning, mid, and night shifts. We require candidates who can demonstrate flexibility and adapt to schedule changes as needed for urgent situations or business requirements.
  • Workdays: Five-day workweek with two rest days.
  • Location: Fully remote
  • Device: Desktop/laptop with Intel i5 (10th gen) with 8GB RAM or higher
  • Internet Connection: Minimum 25 Mbps internet speed with backup connection
