Runner, Flower Shop

POSITION SUMMARY: 

In accordance with the policies, procedures and standards of Melco Resorts Leisure (PHP) Corporation, the Florist is responsible to assist the Supervisor, Flower Shop to ensure that what are needed or required are immediately on hand. Responsible for the cleanliness of the work place.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Acts as support team to Florist and the Supervisor, Flower Shop.
2.    Prepares the working area ready for the Florist to do arranging of the flowers.
3.    Ensures that all vessels/vases/containers are well cleaned. Disinfects if necessary.
4.    Performs general cleaning in the Flower Preparation Shop once a week. Disinfects the walls, floorings and shelving.
5.    Prepares and cleans delivered flowers/foliage according to procedure.
6.    Assists the Florist to retrieve requested items from the General Store. Places items in their respective shelves or cabinet.
7.    Maintains tidiness and cleanliness of the working areas from time to time.
8.    Ensures that trolleys, flower shop equipment and tools are well-maintained and in good working order.
9.    Makes round of the floral displays in the Public Areas with the Florist to ensure that the flowers are fresh, in good condition and original designs are maintained.
10.    Assists the Florist in delivering of flower arrangements for the guestrooms and to the floor pantries.
11.    Assists the Florist in delivering floral arrangements to the public and gaming areas. Ensures that the area is left clean and tidy.
12.    Conducts spot check and water all floral arrangements in the designated areas within the public area complex on a daily basis.
13.    Retrieves floral arrangements, materials, etc. used in banquet functions at the end of the event. Keep the flowers in the Flower Shop Room for re-cycle.
14.    Assists Florist in making Hotel lobbies, guestrooms, restaurants as well as gaming areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

I.    Experience

1.    At least 6 months experience working in a hotel

II.    Education 

Completed at least 8 years of school education

III.    Skills / Competencies 

1.    Has reasonable standard of oral and written English
2.    Creative, self-motivated and independent
3.    Ability to work with minimum supervision

3.    Ability to move lift, carry, push, pull and place objects on frequent basis without assistance.
