Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards; exposure to US GAAP is a plus.
  • Oversee tax compliance requirements including BIR filings, VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Manage general ledger reporting and reconciliation of sub-ledgers.
  • Ensure proper implementation and monitoring of internal controls and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Draft and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and process narratives.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit readiness.
  • Provide financial insights and support decision-making for senior leadership.
  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, Netsuite) for transaction processing and reporting.
  • Build and maintain advanced Excel models using pivot tables, lookups, and other relevant tools.
  • Support multinational or regional financial operations as required.
  • (Nice to have) Assist in BOI compliance and reporting, if applicable.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in a regional or multinational environment is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in ERP software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or Netsuite.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead finance processes.
