Job Summary

Responsibilities include developing and enforcing safety policies, conducting inspections and risk assessments, and providing safety training. The role also involves investigating incidents and collaborating with site personnel to maintain a safe work environment.

What you'll be doing

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs and policies to maintain a safe work environment
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential safety risks
• Provide safety training and education to all employees, ensuring they are aware of and adhere to safety protocols
• Investigate and report on all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Stay up-to-date with relevant health and safety regulations and best practices, and ensure the company's compliance
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of our construction projects
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety activities and performance

What we're looking for

• Familiar in DOLE-BWC laws and policies.
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Must hold a valid 40-hour Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) certification from DOLE-accredited training provider
• Must hold valid Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) and Loss Control Management certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a full-time Safety Officer 2 or equivalent role within the construction industry.
• Must be registered with DOLE as Safety Officer 3 or eligible for SO3 registration.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs and policies
• Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence all levels of the organization
• Proficient in using safety-related software and tools, such as incident tracking and reporting systems
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent is highly desirable
• Physical capability to conduct site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, and working in various weather conditions.
