DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Takes cues from the Department Head, helping operate the daily activities of the department by staying abreast of current inventory and trends; also focuses on evaluating suppliers, finding the most reliable supply sources at the greatest cost savings to the company.
  • To handle all the paper works involved with Purchasing and delivery of supplies and materials including preparation of purchase orders for approval and updating of transmittal reports for rendered items.
  • To make sure there is always a sufficient supply of all materials is required for smooth operations.
  • To keep inventory ordering at a reasonable level.
  • To continuously evaluate whether Purchasing Department is receiving these materials at the best possible price in order to maximize profitability.
  • To shop around to find the best vendors at the most reasonable prices for the hospital's particular size orders.
  • To communicate with alternate vendors, negotiate better pricing for bulk orders or investigate the possibility of procuring cheaper materials from alternative sources.
  • To ensure timely delivery of materials from alternative sources.

Job Type: Full-time
