Job Title: Specialty Coffee Barista

Location: 80 Maginhawa, DIliman, Quezon City 1101 or pin GET GREENS maginhawa.

Job Type: [Full-time/Part-time]

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be mainly responsible for preparing and serving specialty

coffee drinks and fruit shake recipes as required by the recipe procedure of the

company. This person will also be in charge of facing customers in a quick service

type of cafe. ( to-go set up) and will also be the one to either open store operations

or close store operations by following the non negotiable store opening and closing

processes of get greens.

Responsibilities:

• Coffee Preparation and Smoothies Preparation
• proper operation and cleaning of espresso machine, coffee grinder and execution of coffee latte art.
• proper operation and cleaning of commercial blenders for fruit shakes.
• front of the house personality/customer oriented disposition for in-store customers and third party delivery riders.
• basic operation of store implemented POS and recording of all store related expenses.
• execution of opening and closing store process
• Endorses all running low items AM and PM shift
• Performs cleaning of grease trap and store general cleaning every month
• must live near current site (maginhawa QC)
• updated resume, barangay clearance and medical examination for employment.
• performs other duties and functions as may be assigned.
• Customer Service:
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable service to customers, explaining the coffee menu and making recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintaining Cleanliness:
• Keep the coffee preparation and service areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Follow proper sanitation and hygiene standards to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
• Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
• Product Knowledge:
• Stay informed about the cafe's menu items, including pastries and other offerings.
• Educate customers about the origin and characteristics of different coffee beans.
• Espresso Machine Calibration and Handling:
• Conduct regular calibration of espresso machines to maintain quality and consistency.
• Handle and operate espresso machines with precision and care.
• Cash Handling:
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, providing customers with receipts when necessary.
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile cash register at the end of the shift.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista, preferably in a specialty coffee or third-wave coffee environment.
• Knowledge of coffee bean varieties, brewing methods, and latte art.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling.
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality coffee experiences.
• Non-negotiable competency in espresso machine calibration and handling.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College graduates are preferred.

Certifications:

• Barista certification or training is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
