About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Gothong Southern Careers' as an Internal Audit Associate. In this full-time role based in Cebu, Central Visayas, you will play a key part in the company's analysis and reporting function within the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing comprehensive internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the company's internal control systems, policies and procedures
  • Analysing financial and operational data to identify potential risks and inefficiencies
  • Preparing detailed audit reports with clear, actionable recommendations for process improvements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement audit findings and enhance overall business performance
  • Monitoring corrective actions and following up on the implementation of audit recommendations
  • Providing advisory support and consulting services to business units on internal controls and compliance matters
  • Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, best practices and emerging trends in internal audit

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in internal audit, preferably in the manufacturing, transport or logistics sectors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address complex issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively
  • Proficient in the use of data analysis tools and enterprise software
  • Thorough understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management principles and audit methodologies
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team
