Job Description:

The Digital Marketing Assistant (Web Development) will support the team in updating, maintaining, and enhancing our Shopify e-commerce websites. This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to grow their careers and gain hands-on experience in Shopify website management and development. The successful candidate should be willing to learn best practices, apply their skills, and collaborate with the team to improve both the technical performance and digital presence of our sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in customizing themes, layouts, and design elements.
  • Help troubleshoot and fix minor website issues (styling, responsiveness, broken links, etc.).
  • Optimize images, pages, and site speed for better performance.
  • Test website updates and ensure smooth functionality before deployment.
  • Assist in implementing on-page SEO best practices (meta titles, descriptions, alt text, URL structure, internal linking).
  • Monitor basic SEO performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain consistent branding and user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Digital Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge about Shopify platform (themes, products, collections, and apps).
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Liquid is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn Shopify best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
