The Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing a group of properties to ensure operational efficiency, financial performance, tenant satisfaction, and compliance with company standards. This role involves strategic planning, team supervision, budgeting, and coordination with property managers, vendors, and stakeholders to maximize the value of the property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall performance of assigned properties within the portfolio
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve property value, occupancy, and revenue
  • Review and manage operating budgets, financial reports, and variance analyses
  • Ensure timely collection of rents and other receivables in coordination with accounting teams
  • Monitor maintenance, repairs, and capital expenditures to ensure quality and cost efficiency
  • Supervise and support Property Managers and site staff
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, safety regulations, and government requirements
  • Conduct regular property inspections and performance evaluations
  • Handle escalated tenant concerns and resolve issues professionally
  • Prepare and present management reports to senior management and owners
  • Coordinate with leasing, marketing, engineering, and finance teams
  • Recommend improvements, renovations, or operational changes as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, Finance, or related field
  • At least
    3–5 years
    of experience in property or portfolio management
  • Strong knowledge of property operations, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office and property management systems
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience handling commercial and/or residential portfolios
  • Background in property leasing, tenant relations, and contract management
  • Knowledge of local real estate laws and regulations
