Portfolio Management Head

We are hiring for a Portfolio Management Head who will lead and drive the local equities investment strategy for a top-tier investment management organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of equity investment strategies to deliver consistent outperformance versus benchmarks and peers.
  • Manage a team of portfolio managers, analysts, and traders to ensure high-quality research, timely implementation, and portfolio alignment with the firms house view.
  • Oversee equity research coverage across macroeconomic, sectoral, and individual company levels to generate actionable insights.
  • Drive portfolio management decisions (strategic and tactical) and ensure compliance with investment and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, compliance, and marketing teams to support product development, regulatory changes, and fund management initiatives.
  • Represent the organization in investment briefings and industry events, providing expert market insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives by providing investment perspectives and participating in client and market presentations.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of solid experience in equities portfolio management and/or investment research within the financial services industry.
  • Strong background in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and performance management.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Masters degree (MBA) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing investment teams.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Deep understanding of Philippine capital markets, investment regulations, and risk management principles.
