Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Implementation:

  • Overseeing the installation of solar panels and associated equipment.
  • Ensuring that installations comply with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinating with contractors, stakeholders, and project teams during installation.

Testing, Maintenance, and Optimization:

  • Conducting tests and inspections to ensure solar systems meet performance and quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during operation.
  • Monitoring system performance and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Performing maintenance activities to ensure long-term reliability and efficiency.

System Design and Planning:

  • Performing site assessments to determine the suitability of locations for solar installations.
  • Selecting appropriate components, such as solar panels, inverters, and batteries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree: A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of solar energy systems, electrical engineering principles, and relevant software for modelling and simulation.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize system performance.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in designs, installations, and testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of relevant safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • 1-3 years work experience as Site/Electrical Engineer
  • Preferably in Solar Industry.
