Job Description: QA Engineer (Security Testing & Automation)

Primary Responsibilities

As a QA Engineer at Ridge Security, you will:

  • Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test cases, and automated test scripts for security products.

  • Conduct penetration testing, API testing, and system-level functional testing.

  • Build and maintain automated regression and integration test frameworks.

  • Perform performance, scalability, and security validation across multiple environments.

  • Debug, reproduce, and report product issues with clear documentation.

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and support teams to ensure product quality from design through release.

  • Ensure test coverage and traceability across requirements, risks, and validations.

  • Continuously enhance testing processes through scripting, automation, and new tool adoption.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.

  • Strong foundation in software testing methodologies, QA processes, and defect management.

  • Hands-on experience with penetration testing and API testing.

  • Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for test automation.

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web protocols, and security concepts.

  • Proficiency in operating systems (Linux, Windows) and database systems (MySQL, Redis).

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of QA/testing experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise software.

  • Experience with automated test frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Selenium).

  • Familiarity with container and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).

  • Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10, vulnerability scanning, and exploit validation.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.
