Compliance Officer – Job Summary & Key Qualifications

Summary:

The Compliance Officer plays a vital role in supporting the Compliance Department Head in implementing and managing BancNet's Compliance and Data Privacy Program. This role ensures that the organization adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, while maintaining close coordination with key regulators such as BSP, SEC, and NPC.

Key Qualifications:


• Must be a graduate of Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, Internal Auditing, Management, Business, IT-related, or other allied courses.


• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Other certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CRMA are an advantage.


• With at least 5 years of relevant experience in the following areas:

  • General Compliance
  • Compliance Assurance
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • IT Compliance
  • Internal Audit (General and IT)
  • External Audit


• Proficient in General and Regulatory Compliance, as well as Risk Management.


• Demonstrated expertise in audit and compliance with various regulatory requirements, as prescribed by prevailing laws, rules, regulations, circulars, and memoranda.


•Experienced in handling assessments/audits conducted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and other similar regulatory bodies.


•Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team, and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.


•Advanced experience in Compliance and Internal Audit within Operators of Payment Systems (OPS), Universal/Commercial/Thrift Banks, Electronic Money Issuers (EMIs), or FinTech companies.


•Strong knowledge and experience in performing Compliance Testing and Audits.

Familiar with aspects of planning, budgeting, costing, business management, IT and information security, and project management.
