An HR Supervisor oversees and manages the daily operations of an organization's human resources department, including recruitment, training, compensation, benefits, and employee relations to ensure compliance with labor laws and support company goals. They act as a trusted advisor to management, providing guidance on HR policies and mediating employee issues, while often holding a bachelor's degree and several years of HR experience. Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing HR Operations: Manage day-to-day HR functions like payroll, timekeeping, recruitment, hiring, and orientations.
- Employee Relations: Address employee performance issues, handle employee disputes, and mediate between employees.
- Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies by providing advice to managers on HR matters.
- Training & Development: Design and organize training sessions for employees and oversee other development initiatives.
- Compensation & Benefits: Administer and coordinate HR programs related to employee compensation and benefits.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the recruitment process, including liaising with agencies, advertising job openings, and conducting orientations for new hires.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree is generally required, often in a field like Behavioral Science or Psychology.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of HR experience is typically needed, with a strong background in human resources administration.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with employees and management.
- Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze situations and develop creative solutions to complex HR problems is important.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications and the ability to work independently are also beneficial.
