About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join DAPL Information Technology Management Services Philippines Inc. as a Kafka Developer (MSSQL). As a Kafka Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Kafka-based solutions that power the company's critical data pipelines.

What you'll be doing

  1. Design and implement Kafka-based solutions to ingest, process, and distribute data across the organisation
  2. Develop and optimise Kafka producer and consumer applications using Java, Scala, or Python
  3. Integrate Kafka with other data technologies such as MSSQL, Spark, and Elasticsearch
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka clusters, ensuring high availability and performance
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  6. Continuously improve the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of the Kafka infrastructure
  7. Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing activities

What we're looking for

  1. 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining Kafka-based applications
  2. Proficient in Java, Scala, or Python programming languages
  3. Strong understanding of Kafka concepts, such as topics, partitions, offsets, and consumer groups
  4. Experience integrating Kafka with various data sources and sinks, including MSSQL, Spark, and Elasticsearch
  5. Familiarity with event-driven architecture and real-time data processing
  6. Knowledge of distributed systems, data pipelines, and scalable data processing techniques
  7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  8. Strong collaboration and communication skills
