Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast purchasing needs, and ensure timely replenishment of goods.
- Vendor Management: Research, identify, and evaluate potential vendors, establishing and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and prices to secure the best deals and return on investment (ROI).
- Order Processing: Collate purchase orders, enter details into internal databases, and process orders efficiently.
- Logistics & Tracking: Track orders, monitor shipment status, ensure timely delivery, and coordinate with warehouse staff.
- Quality Control: Assess and monitor the quality of purchased products and supplies.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues with suppliers, such as non-supplied, under, or over-ordered items, and damaged goods.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including invoices, order details, and supplier contracts.
- Reporting: Prepare reports, including cost analyses and procurement activities, for management.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company purchasing policies and procedures.
