Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Python DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in scripting, cloud-native solutions, and container orchestration. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts, container images, and CI/CD pipelines to support enterprise-scale deployments. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Python, Bash, and Golang, along with proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver updates to existing container images and CI/CD pipelines as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts (Python, Perl, Bash) to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Develop in Golang and similar programming languages; deploy using Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes pipelines.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and enterprise cloud standards in all deliverables.
  • Support networking-related requirements including HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
  • Manage CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions or AWS CodeBuild.
  • Assist with reverse proxy concepts, with a preference for knowledge of Envoy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure initiatives, monitoring, and observability.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting (must-have).
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and scalable code design.
  • Ability to write and maintain existing Perl scripts for process automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and knowledge of hyperscaler primitives.
  • Familiarity with templating engines (Jinja2, Go templates).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, Artifactory, Vault, etc.).
  • Solid grasp of networking protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP).
  • Familiarity with reverse proxy concepts; knowledge of Envoy preferred.
  • Experience with public cloud APIs and cloud-native services.
  • Proficiency with Git-based version control (GitHub, Git).
  • Familiarity with project management and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Must-Have Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Python and Bash scripting.
  • Experience in Linux environments.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and coding practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, templating engines, and networking concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native solutions.
Good-to-Have Skills
  • Golang development experience.
  • Knowledge of Envoy reverse proxy.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Vault, Artifactory, and observability tools.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and security compliance.
Work Details
  • Experience Required: Minimum 3 years
  • Work Hours: 45 hours per week
  • Shift Schedule: Night shift (12 AM – 10 AM, may vary based on client needs)
  • Work Setup: Hybrid (2x a week onsite – Wednesday & Thursday; exceptions for night shift: once every 2 months, subject to client needs)
