About the role

Ascendion is seeking a talented Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud/DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising our cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless application deployment and reliability. This full-time position is based in Taguig City, Metro Manila, offering you the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable cloud infrastructure leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Automate the deployment, management, and monitoring of applications using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring the integrity and compliance of our cloud environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimising system efficiency
  • Continuously research and implement new technologies and best practices to enhance our cloud operations
  • Provide technical support and guidance to development teams, ensuring seamless integration with the cloud infrastructure

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience (5+ years) in cloud engineering and DevOps practices
  • Proficiency in managing and automating cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Expertise in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and monitoring concepts in a cloud environment
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
