Safety Officer Level II is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring OSH Programs to ensure a safe working environment. Ensures company compliance with OSH standards, OSH awareness, investigates and reports accidents and addresses safety concerns and emergencies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor an Occupational Safety and Health Program.
  • Ensure that the company is in accordance with the OSH standards.
  • Assist the company in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of staff and visitors.
  • Increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
  • Investigate and report on all serious/critical personal injury accidents occurring related to staff and/or visitors to the appropriate senior official, and to assist in the investigation of all accidents/incidents that result in substantial damage to property.
  • Respond to employees' safety concerns
  • Respond to fires and other emergencies
  • Act as liaison with all related governmental bodies and regulating agencies
  • Coordinate the selection and distribution of emergency equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any education-related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Safety Officer II
  • Knowledgeable in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations
  • Ability to develop and implement safety programs
  • Ability to identify potential hazards associated with various types of equipment
  • Proficient in conducting safety audits and risk assessments
