Job Description: Senior Consultant

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to expand our global Client Services team that is part of the Analytics SBU and the Risk and Quantitative Analytics business line. Currently our team is based mainly in Manila, Sofia, and New York.

The desired end-result is to add capacity and resources to better cover demands in 3 main activities of our team:
- Assisting our clients in Production Validation and QA Pre-sales projects

The people we want to recruit in Manila as part of our Client Services team will be responsible for automating a client environment, designing complex workflows, covering the full flow of financial data in our software - data loads, data checks, calculations, data extracts and reporting.
- They will become familiar with all the functionalities of the product, including the different modules and methodologies as well as technical aspects such as: System Architecture, API, Database and SQL tuning, Web Services.
- They will be working with our global team of sales specialists and consultants, as well as interacting with our clients supporting them in their daily operations.

They will be analyzing and solving complex business issues related to client's investment portfolios, processing data, conducting specific investigations, including software testing

They will become familiar with all the core functionality of the product and understanding the financial logic behind the different modules and financial methodologies

For that purpose, we will provide all the procedures, tools and training required to fulfill this job successfully.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assisting our clients in Production
  • Client Services result-focused efforts in superb execution and follow-through skills. Responsibilities include benchmark and portfolio configurations, data management, result validation, troubleshooting, identifying and implementing workflow improvements, ad-hoc analysis, documentation. Pro-active prioritizing of requests, issues and problems.
  • Assist our clients in production with their business and technical requests, questions and queries from the Risk Management, Portfolio Construction, Reporting Teams of our clients who are usually big Asset or Wealth managers.
  • Provide critical coverage for our clients in US.
  • Improve response times and quality of assistance provided.
Collaboration and Training
  • Collaborating, training, supporting, and acting as escalation for the RCS Customer Success, Services teams and other client teams at FactSet
Development
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the finance industry, current market trends and economic factors in order to maintain a competitive edge, advance, and execute Client Services value-add strategies
QUALIFICATIONS:

List the knowledge, skills, and experience that allow the job to be performed in a fully competent manner.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance or Mathematics
  • Genuine interest in capital markets and portfolio management
  • Strong understanding of the area of risk management, factor-based investing, portfolio construction and optimization
  • Understanding of basic concepts of financial mathematics and statistics.
  • Knowledge of the functioning and application of wide variety financial instruments including standard Stock and Bonds assets as well as complex derivative products such Options, Futures, IR Swaps, Structured Products, Fixed Income instruments with included options, etc.
  • Excellent command of MS Office - MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Good communication skills in client-facing situations
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Team Player, Enthusiastic and Motivated
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Any of the following skills are a plus:
Nice to have skills
  • Technical skills to operate with large datasets as well as understanding of basic SQL
    Basic knowledge of Windows Server administration, Java JMV
  • Experience with Python or other high-level language
  • Participation in the CFA, FRM Program
  • SQL/Database knowledge
  • Technical skills with software applications
