Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Systems Engineer to join our IT team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or those with up to 2 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure, or IT support. You will assist in maintaining, configuring, and monitoring our company's IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Job Description:

  1. Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure.
  2. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  3. Support the IT team in managing cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  4. Help implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus, firewalls, and patch management.
  5. Participate in routine backup and disaster recovery operations.
  6. Document system configurations, changes, and procedures.
  7. Provide technical support to internal users and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  8. Work under the guidance of senior engineers to support ongoing IT projects and infrastructure upgrades.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Internship or academic experience in IT systems, networking, or cloud environments is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
  • A solid grasp of networking fundamentals is a must. This includes TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and a basic understanding of switches and routing.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of server operating systems, such as Windows Server and Linux, is also vital for this role.
  • Communication: The ability to clearly and concisely explain technical concepts is essential for working with a team and other departments.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to think critically and solve problems is arguably the most important skill for an engineer.
  • Teamwork: A willingness to collaborate and learn from more experienced engineers.
  • Proactive Attitude: An entry-level engineer should show initiative, be curious, and be eager to take on new challenges.
