Collections Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Collections Associate to join our team. This role focuses on collections, requiring a proactive approach to managing accounts and ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, trustworthiness, and the ability to work independently while effectively communicating and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and summarize historical account and payment data
  • Maintain accurate electronic records of all documents, payment plans, and tracking spreadsheets
  • Update account status records and actively manage collection efforts
  • Research publicly available resources, including public databases and court filings, to locate information for collection purposes
  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
  • Compile, proofread, and edit drafts of contracts, leases, HR reports, and other legal documents as needed
  • Monitor, analyze, and summarize incidents related to compliance and collections
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven ability to work independently and proactively manage collections
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret legal documents
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Patience and ability to manage stress under pressure
  • Strong recordkeeping and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
