At The Mills Global Customs Brokerage Inc., we believe that strategic growth is driven by trusted expertise and client-centered service. As a Business Development Executive holding a Customs Broker license or graduate of BS Customs Administration, you will serve as the vital link between technical customs knowledge and business expansion.

In this role, you will not be responsible for filing customs declarations. Instead, your focus will be on client engagement, advisory support, and sales integration, helping prospective and existing clients navigate customs requirements while contributing to the company's growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review commercial invoices, packing lists, import permits, and shipment documents to verify customs compliance and highlight potential risks.
  • Advise clients on tariff classification, valuation methods, and Bureau of Customs (BOC) regulatory requirements tailored to their commodities.
  • Collaborate with the documentation team to identify and resolve gaps or errors that may affect customs clearance timelines.
  • Keep clients informed of relevant regulatory updates, BOC issuances, and industry trends that impact import/export operations.
  • Participate in resolving customs-related concerns, coordinating with the operations team on matters requiring technical input or clarification.
  • Support client onboarding by serving as the technical resource in meetings, helping clients understand processes, requirements, and service scopes.
  • Assist the sales team in preparing proposals, cost estimates, service agreements, and tailored logistics solutions for prospective clients.
  • Join client presentations, sales meetings, and consultations to strengthen technical credibility and build trust with decision-makers.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships by providing timely, accurate guidance on customs-related issues and value-added services.
Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of experience in customs compliance, brokerage operations, or advisory (fresh passers are welcome; training will be provided)
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine customs laws, AHTN code application, and customs valuation rules
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats, with a strong client-first approach
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, compliance, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in client engagement, pre-sales advisory, or solution-based selling is a strong advantage
