About the Role

The Finance Enablement Team is building a Center of Excellence (CoE) to drive finance transformation through automation and operational efficiency initiatives, including the Faster Close program. This role will lead the development and implementation of Alteryx solutions, reducing reliance on external consultants while improving efficiency across Finance, Actuary, and ALM teams in Asia.

As the Finance Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for building and leading the Alteryx CoE, driving automation initiatives, and enabling finance teams to adopt best-in-class automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze end-to-end process flows across local Business Unit (BU) Finance Operations, Reporting, and Actuary teams, and lead the design and implementation of Alteryx-based automation solutions (e.g., manual journal entries, reconciliations, data consolidation, allocations, and actuarial modeling).
  • Partner closely with Finance, Actuary, and ALM teams to identify automation opportunities and process improvements that deliver time savings, operational efficiency, and faster close cycles.
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex Alteryx workflows to streamline financial and actuarial operations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Finance, Actuary, and ALM stakeholders on Alteryx best practices and advanced techniques.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to build Alteryx capability and adoption across teams.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure data governance, system integration, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Act as system support for Alteryx-built solutions, ensuring stability and smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all Alteryx workflows and processes.
  • Establish a structured intake process, including cost-benefit analysis, for Alteryx automation initiatives.
  • Build dashboards to track and monitor the benefits and impact of automation on finance efficiency and faster close objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role focused on process automation and data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, ETL processes, and database management.
  • Hands-on expertise in Alteryx Designer and other automation tools.
  • Solid understanding of financial processes and finance data structures.
  • Experience in project management, preferably in an Agile environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong English communication skills, with the ability to work directly with Finance, ALM, and Actuary users to gather requirements and resolve operational and automation requests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Alteryx Designer Core or Advanced Certification.
  • Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion, or other financial systems.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
