Job Description:The Head of Solution Architecture and Solution Design is responsible for leading the design and delivery of IT solutions that directly address business requirements and project objectives. This role focuses on translating business needs into practical, efficient, and secure technology solutions. The Head of Solution Architecture and Solution Design works closely with project teams and development leads to ensure solutions are implemented effectively, while aligning with the overarching enterprise architecture framework.

The role emphasizes project-level design integrity and hands-on architectural guidance. ResponsibilitiesSolution Delivery LeadershipLead the design and development of solution architectures at the project level, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and aligned with business goals. Oversee solution architecture during the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to design principles and technical specifications.

Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, and technical leads to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions. Technical Oversight & DesignProvide hands-on architectural leadership during the project lifecycle, from design to deployment, ensuring the solution aligns with both technical and business objectives. Review detailed solution designs, guiding teams to ensure architectural consistency, performance, and security.

Act as a subject matter expert in key technology domains such as cloud, integration, data architecture, and application development, providing guidance to project teams and from time-to-time, help resolve issues/ bugs and other technical impediments. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with business units, IT teams, and external partners to understand specific project requirements and propose tailored technical solutions. Coordinate with the Head of Enterprise Architecture to ensure project solutions align with the company's long-term technology roadmap and architectural governance.

Serve as the main point of contact for project-level architectural issues, working with stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and design decisions. Standards & ComplianceEnsure all solution designs adhere to architectural standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements while meeting project timelines and budgets. Support the Enterprise Architecture function by enforcing architecture principles and frameworks at the solution level, but maintain a focus on delivering pragmatic, actionable designs for immediate business needs.

Team LeadershipManage and mentor a team of solution architects and designers, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality technical designs. Foster a collaborative, hands-on culture within the team, encouraging innovative problem-solving and continual learning about emerging technologies. Risk Mitigation & Technical

Problem-SolvingIdentify technical risks within project designs and develop strategies to mitigate them in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders. Provide technical leadership to resolve critical project issues and ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions. QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with at least 8 years in solution architecture or technical leadership roles, focused on solution delivery. Extensive experience in managing architecture for large-scale projects, particularly in cloud, application integration, and digital transformation initiatives. Proven ability to lead solution design and delivery for both on-premise and cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on practical execution and delivery.

Deep hands-on experience in engineering and application development projects e.g. web, mobile etc., both as a developer/ technical lead and an architect. Strong understanding of life insurance and mutual funds products, business processes, and regulatory environment. Skills and CompetenciesExpertise in solution architecture methodologies, with hands-on experience in designing and delivering solutions in Agile and DevOps environments.

Strong experience in cloud platforms (AWS), microservices, APIs, and system integrations. Extensive experience in different frameworks and multiple programming languages such as Java, . Net, ReactJS, NodeJS etc.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a focus on translating complex technical concepts into actionable, business-relevant designs. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to guide and mentor technical teams. Solid experience in working closely with developers, technical leads, and project managers for timely and quality-focused delivery.
