Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing molds used in the plastic injection molding process.
  • These molds are essential for producing plastic components with high precision and consistency.
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D designs of plastic injection molds using NX CAD software.
  • Design core and cavity structures, cooling systems, ejector mechanisms, and gating systems.
  • Review product drawings and specifications to determine moldability.
  • Conduct mold flow simulations to identify potential issues such as warpage, sink marks, or short shots.
  • Select appropriate mold base materials and components based on product requirements, production volume, and cost considerations.
  • Work closely with product designers, process engineers, and toolmakers to ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency
  • Coordinate with suppliers for mold components and fabrication.
  • Prepare technical documentation including assembly drawings, BOMs, and mold maintenance guidelines.
  • Update designs based on trial results and feedback from production.
  • Ensure mold designs comply with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement in mold performance, cycle time, and product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Have 2 year or more experience in mold engineer.
  • Has experience in CAD system (only mold field)
  • Experience working in a mold maker company.
  • Has experience in NX CAD system.
