Job Summary:

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the iron sand processing plant, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This role also oversees the logistics function aside from the overall plant operations. Candidates must have background in the industries of Quarrying or running Batching plant. With extensive experience in production, QA, PPIC, R&D. and Logistics. The position requires strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sets performance goals, strategies, and KPIs aligned with management direction. Spearheads the implementation.
  • Oversees plant and logistics operations to meet targets and quality standards.
  • Manages risks, bottlenecks, disruptions.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implements company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops a cohesive and productive team in operations.
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any related course. Master's degree is an advantage.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience as a manager in Production, Production Planning and Inventory Control from the same industry (vibro plant / Batching plant)
  • Well versed on the technical aspect of manufacturing.
  • Can effectively liaise with Quality Control and Research and Development.
  • Experienced in Finished Goods and Delivery and Warehousing.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, lean manufacturing, and supply chain best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
