The Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and general upkeep of the company premises. This role ensures that facilities are safe, organized, and conducive for work. The Utility Worker may also assist other departments in basic operational tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain office, production, or common areas including floors, restrooms, and pantry.
- Dispose of trash and recyclable materials properly.
- Assist in setting up rooms, equipment, or materials for meetings, events, or production activities.
- Maintain the functionality of basic office or facility equipment and report malfunctions.
- Assist in minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, or simple repairs.
- Handle deliveries, errands, and transportation of materials as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Support other departments in operational or logistic tasks as assigned.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is an advantage.
- Prior experience in cleaning, maintenance, or general services preferred but not required.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
- Knowledgeable in basic safety and sanitation practices.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to follow instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
