Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Manual Quality Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure that software products meet quality standards and business requirements through comprehensive manual and API testing. Basic knowledge of automation testing is also required and considered an advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Assurance & Testing

  2. Analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications and test cases.

  3. Create test plans, test effort estimations, and detailed test scripts.
  4. Perform manual testing including functional, integration, system, regression, and API testing.
  5. Accurately log, track, and report defects with clear documentation.
  6. Review and provide feedback on test cases prepared by junior QA analysts.

  7. Ensure systems are released in line with user requirements and internal quality standards.

  8. Process Compliance & Improvement

  9. Comply with the organization's SDLC processes and QA standards.

  10. Apply appropriate test design techniques and methodologies.

  11. Identify areas for process improvement based on testing outcomes and feedback.

  12. Automation Testing (Basic)

  13. Utilize basic automation testing knowledge to support test execution.

  14. Assist in identifying and maintaining test cases suitable for automation.

  15. Support execution of simple automation scripts, if applicable.

  16. Team Collaboration & Documentation

  17. Work closely with developers, project managers, and business analysts.

  18. Participate in peer reviews and mentor junior QA members as needed.

  19. Record test activities and issues using test management or tracking tools.

  20. Learning & Development

  21. Stay updated with new testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

  22. Expand knowledge of business processes and systems relevant to the role.

  23. Administrative Tasks

  24. Submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner.

  25. Perform additional QA-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
  • Proficient in creating test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
  • Basic knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC (Agile & Waterfall).
  • Experience in domains like manufacturing, distribution, or finance is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good time management.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and travel when needed.
