Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, other related program.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years in manufacturing costing, production planning, or process engineering.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of woodworking processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel, costing software, and preferably CAD tools for interpreting designs.
  • Ability to compute material yield, waste factors, and labor-machine time accurately and other costing factors

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate cost estimates for all woodwork products, including special projects and new product designs.
  • Analyze material requirements and calculate waste factors.
  • Compute labor and machine costs for each production process (kiln drying, machining, assembly).
  • Allocate overhead costs such as utilities, depreciation, and maintenance.
  • Create and maintain costing templates for new product lines and custom projects.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales teams to gather accurate data.
  • Monitor material price fluctuations and update costing records accordingly.
  • Recommend pricing strategies based on cost analysis and market trends.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
