Production Planner

Duties and Responsibilities

Forecasting & Analysis

• Develop and maintain accurate short-term and long-term demand forecasts.
• Analyze historical sales, market trends, and seasonality to improve forecast accuracy.
• Identify and investigate demand forecast variances; provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Support statistical modeling and data-driven forecasting processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to gather inputs for the demand planning process.
• Integrate promotional plans, new product introductions, and customer insights into demand forecasts.
• Participate in monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings and provide forecast inputs.

Inventory & Supply Alignment

• Collaborate with inventory and supply planning teams to align demand forecasts with supply capabilities.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in balancing inventory to minimize overstock or stockouts.
• Support replenishment strategies and help ensure optimal service levels.

Systems & Reporting

• Maintain planning data in ERP and demand planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards to track key planning metrics (forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, etc.).
• Assist with the development and automation of planning tools and reports.

Process Improvement

• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning process.
• Assist in developing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for forecasting and planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Attainment

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Experience Required

• 0 to 1 year of experience in demand planning, supply chain, inventory management, or a similar role (internship experience acceptable).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
