Social Media Specialist (Full-time)

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, increase engagement, and drive traffic across multiple platforms. The role requires a creative and analytical individual to plan campaigns, curate content, and track performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Management:

  • Develop and curate engaging content (text, images, videos) tailored to each social media platform.
  • Schedule and publish posts to maintain an active online presence.

Strategy and Planning:

  • Create and implement social media strategies aligned with overall business goals.
  • Plan and execute campaigns for product launches, promotions, and events.

Community Engagement:

  • Interact with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly.
  • Foster a positive community around the brand and resolve customer inquiries.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, conversions).
  • Prepare regular reports to assess the effectiveness of strategies and recommend improvements.

Trend Monitoring:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, platform updates, and best practices to adapt strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for brand innovation on social media.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure cohesive branding.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to align social media campaigns with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist, Manager, or similar role.
  • Experience managing social media accounts for Australian businesses is a plus.
  • Proficiency in major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok).
  • Strong knowledge of social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Creativity in content creation and visual storytelling.
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) are advantageous.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferably with portfolio link.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Familiarity with Australian culture and market preferences.
  • Experience running paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles.
